The Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences was founded in 1948 as a non-profit institution, and has since grown into a community resource dedicated to providing arts, science and recreation programs to residents and visitors to the area.
A block from the beach in Loveladies on LBI, the LBIF is open year-roundand offers a free gallery with a rotating exhibition of artwork as well as a wide variety of classes in ceramics, sculpture, painting, drawing, culinary arts and much more.
The organization also holds summer camps for kids, book discussions, musical performances, film screenings and science lectures, and hosts an arts and crafts festival and a house tour each summer.
