Work Opportunity Center
Founded in 1966, the Work Opportunity Center handles subcontract work, including general assembly, shrink wrapping, poly bagging, packaging, heat sealing and special events fulfillment. It assembles and delivers customized health care kits to hospitals and state correctional facilities within New Jersey. The center operates a more than 30,000-square-foot building and an over 10,000-square-foot warehouse. The Work Opportunity Center employs a workforce of over 165 people and assembles customized hospital admission, toiletry, suction canisters and plastic cutlery kits. The center also serves manufacturers, printers, advertising agencies, utility companies and nonprofit organizations. The Work Opportunity Center is accredited by The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission, Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired and New Jersey Department of Labor. It is a part of The Arc of Monmouth, which is a nonprofit organization that provides services and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
