Patriots' Path
Patriots' Path is a slowly expanding network of hiking paths, equestrian trails, bike paths and parklands that allow the outdoor enthusiast to travel through large areas of Morris County and even into Hunterdon and Sussex Counties. Part of the appeal of traveling Patriots' Path is its changing personality. At times the traveller passes through dark, silent woods on narrow dirt paths. Then the journey changes to paved walkways near residential neighborhoods and gravel paths that cross busy roads. At times, Patriots' Path provides the experience of solitude; at others, a lively interaction with strollers, bicycles, roller skaters and joggers. Access points to the trail are numerous and can be found on maps posted on the Morris County Parks Commission website.
