At Mie, we investigate, research and advocate for a high quality equitable education for all students.SpecialtiesOur educational approach examines the relationships of formal/informal instrumental music instruction across STEM disciplines using art-integrated instructional techniques and strategies. Through our curriculum, we will explore and investigate how these strategies, using STEM topics as levers, can positively affect student achievement. We will further look at the effects of integrating computational thinking with STEM disciplines and how that supports the existence of a more than causal relationship between academic achievement and informal/formal instrumental music instruction.
