Daniel J. Pyo, MD, FACS, FAAP, FACCWS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Additionally, Dr. Pyo specializes in body contouring procedures, abdominal wall reconstruction, hand surgery, wound care, pediatric cleft lip and cleft palate surgery. Initially trained as a microsurgeon, Dr. Pyo is extremely proficient in technology and has expertise in robotic surgery.Dr. Pyo has served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Morristown Memorial Hospital. He has been a lecturer for Johnson & Johnson, KCI, Gore, ACell and Synthes. He actively teaches courses for other surgeons and has served on the prestigious AO TK Working Group, which is responsible for development of new technologies and education. He also serves on the Executive Board of the Korean American Medical Association, and is a Board Member and Trustee of the Morristown Medical Center Foundation and the Korean American Scholarship Foundation, which helps to raise and distribute scholarship funds for promising students in economic need. He is the incoming President of the NJ Society of Plastic Surgeons.A proud Korean-American and dedicated family man, Dr. Pyo has devoted much of his time and service to helping those in dire need, primarily children. Dr. Pyo has been instrumental in developing the Craniofacial Deformities Center at Morristown Memorial Hospital, and serving as an active member. He has also participated in numerous mission trips to poor and underdeveloped countries, repairing birth defects and other physical abnormalities in children around the world. He has been team leader on trips to Kenya, China, Ethiopia, India, Honduras, Paraguay, Peru and Bolivia.
