The Cape May County Clerk's Office is operated by the government of Cape May County in New Jersey. The department is responsible for filing and recording documents affecting real estate ownership/transfer, assisting residents in obtaining U.S. passports for identification and foreign travel, administering oaths to notaries public and other officers. It also provides vendor licenses to veterans and exempt firefighters. Through its election section, the department prepares ballots for primary, general and school elections as well as certifies election results.
