Brightwood Park is a 44-acre park on Prospect Street. Designed as a nature preserve, the park features woods, a pond and walking trails through the woods. Picnic tables are found scattered throughout the park. The park is a popular spot for joggers, walkers and residents walking their dogs.
There is a rope swing in part of the park to the pond. The rope swing is a popular spot for local children and teens to enjoy a dip in the pond. The Brightwood pond is also a popular spot for fishing in town.
Flora and fauna native to the region are found in the park.
