Located in Bridgewater, N.J., the Bridgewater Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency that operates uniform, criminal and fire investigation and drug interdiction units. It has a patrol division that offers 24-hour services for the safety of the residents. The Bridgewater Police Department operates a criminal investigation bureau that conducts follow-up investigations of crimes and incidents initially investigated by the police officers. In addition to criminal investigations, the detectives are responsible for conducting police officers and dispatchers applicant background checks, as well as liquor license investigations. The department also provides supplemental daily services, such as calls-for-service responses, prisoner transportation, surveillance operations and criminal case screening services.
