Established in 1967, Bergen County Community Action Partnership is a specialty program that serves local governments, private sector entities and the low-income group. The agency offers a range of programs to assist poor, homeless people, substance abusers, children, senior citizens and foreign born individuals. It also maintains partnerships with various social service, mental health and municipal, and county and state agencies. Through its crisis services division, Bergen County Community Action Partnership provides shelter, food and case management services to homeless adults and families. In addition, the agency offers housing support services, basic education, employment training and permanent job placement services. The agency maintains a location in Hackensack, N.J.
