Specialties
The Museum provides exhibits, educational programs, and cultural events to the public. Its mission is to advance public understanding of the history of work, workers and the labor movement throughout the world, with special attention to the ethnicity and immigrant experience of American Workers. It is headquartered in the Botto House National Landmark, the 1908 home of immigrant silk mill workers and the meeting place for workers of many nationalities during the 1913 Paterson Silk Strike. This action and others like it brought about reforms in the workplace broadly enjoyed by Americans today.
