HistoryClare Stelling opened the first fully equipped Pilates Studio in 2000 in Nanuet NY. She introduced many people to the work of Pilates, when it was still in it's infancy. Many of her students went on the receive their own certification and have now since gone on to open their own studios with much success. Her affiliations with Wyeth Inc., Center for Modern Dance Education, Art of Motion, and CBPerformance Pilates set her apart from the competition, and recently was asked to join the team at Lifetime Fitness, Equinox, Holy Name Hospital Fitness and Hackensack Medical Center Fitness. Currently she heads up the Pilates program at Pandora Healing Arts Center in Hawthorne NJ, and this is where you will find her teaching Pilates Mat classes, as well as her own studio in Hawthorne where she still offers the highest quality private training on the apparatus. Clare has evolved her teaching style to include both the classical and contemporary methods of Pilates.SpecialtiesOver 15 years in the Pilates industry, Clare Stelling, owner/instructor, teaches all levels of Pilates. She teaches one-on-one sessions on the Reformer, Cadillac, Stability Chair, Balls, Mats. She also teaches mat classes with use of small props. Attention to alignment, breath, flexibility and strength are of utmost importance, and exercises are taught with these key components in mind.
