HistoryCommunity Nursery School began as a single classroom cooperative and has expanded to four classrooms with a full paid staff. We are proud to be serving the 3rd generation of some local families.SpecialtiesCNS offers half-day preschool classes serving children from 2 1/2 to 6 years old. Early 8:30 drop-off is available and extended-day enrichment from 1:00 - 3:00 is offered for our enrolled 4 year-old PreK students. Community Nursery School offers personal attention to each and every family and provides a hands-on developmentally appropriate play-based curriculum, focusing on social development, reading readiness and early math & science skills. We are conveniently located in downtown Metuchen in the Presbyterian Church on an 8 acre site with plenty of room to explore. CNS is NJ State licensed and has been in business since 1949.
