HistoryThe shop was started by John Curlis in 1963 under the name John's Barber Shop and he remained the owner/operator till 2010 when he sold it to the present owner Breelynn. When Bree got the shop the remodeling stared to bring the shop up to date and give it that old barber shop feel. In 2014 with alot of hard work the shop had grow into something so much more then she could have imagined so she renamed the shop The Famous Razor.SpecialtiesThe Famous Razor took shape in the Spring of 2010. We originated from John's Barber Shop the was started by John Curlis in 1963. The shop caters to men and those who want a classic mens haircut or shave. We specialize in cutting mens hair and shaving their faces. You won't get a bunch of mediocre pampering services that a lot of salons use to lure customers. The services you receive at the Famous Razor Barbershop are delivered by licensed barbers. Our customers have come mostly by word of mouth and have discovered the simple beauty of a regular barbershop. Our shop operates with walk-ins and appointments. A customer can sit in any of our chairs and receive an exceptionally high quality haircut. Our barber education and training separates us from most of the other options that men have in the area. The Famous Razor barbershop is located in Medford Lakes on Trading Post Way. You may call for an appointment or access our on line booking at schedpoint.com/famousrazor If you would prefer not making an appointment, you can just walk-in. Parking is available on the street and is usually easy to find. Sorry, we DO NOT accept credit cards but we have an ATM machine located in the shop for your convenience
