University of New Hampshire owns and operates campus-based connector routes and public transit routes within Dover, Newington, Newmarket and Portsmouth, N.H. Wildcat Transit provides its transit services. Wildcat Transit buses will not stop at all designated stops. In order to disembark from the bus, riders must simply pull the 'stop requested' cord along the windows of the buses. Other cooperative partners in regional public transportation in the service area include COAST Transportation, which covers the seacoast region of New Hampshire; The Downeaster, the Boston through Portland, Maine, Amtrak provider; C&J Trailways, covering the seacoast region and Boston; and Hampton Shuttle, which provides shuttle service to Manchester and Logan airports. All Wildcat Transit routes have different weekday and weekend schedules. Furthermore, both routes go on reduced service schedule at times when UNH is on break.
