Owned and operated by the Rannie Webster Foundation, Webster at Rye is a charitable, 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit foundation registered with New Hampshire Charitable Trusts. The Rannie Webster Foundation was established at the bequest of Rannie Webster, a businesswoman who summered in Rye and owned a prosperous hat shop in New York City. One summer, after suffering a disabling horseback riding accident, Ms. Webster recognized the need for a place of rest and recuperation close to home, near loved ones and old friends. It was here that Ms. Webster cast a vision that went well beyond her time and place, outlining the concept for Web
