The Exeter Public Works Department operates and manages engineering, highway, storm water, solid waste, maintenance, and water and sewer divisions. Its engineering division offers a range of project management, construction inspection, site planning, infrastructure mapping and traffic engineering services. The department s highway division maintains drainage pipelines, catch basins, roads, sidewalks, manholes, bridges, dams, traffic lights and pavement markings.
