History
In 2000 Van Ballantyne left corporate America and opened a small business accounting and financial services firm in Greenland, NH. From 2000 onwards the firm saw steady and increasing growth. As part of its expansion plans, Counting House moved its offices to larger, more client friendly space at 524 Portsmouth Avenue, Greenland, NH where they reside today. Van's prior posts have been as an accountant, controller, CFO and VP Finance for small and mid-sized businesses. He holds a BS from the Whittemore School of Business & Economics and an MBA. He is enrolled to practice before the IRS and is an Accredited Tax Preparer (ATP). He is a member of the Professional Association of Small Business Accountants (PASBA). Counting House was recognized as Business of the Year by the Seacoast Chamber of Commerce in the business services category. They have also received the United Ways Presidential Award for continued support.
