The State Gaming Control Board is responsible for the governance and regulation of gaming activities in Nevada. The board has various divisions that include investigations, enforcement, audit, technology, administration corporate securities, and tax and license. It employs more than 450 staff members who are responsible for fulfilling various duties of the board. The board s investigations division is responsible for the investigations of all individuals and privately held business entities interested in venturing into the gaming industry in the state. The State Gaming Control Board is also responsible for reviewing and testing all gaming devices and associated equipment. Additionally, the board is charged with investigating and prosecuting criminal and administrative violations of the state s gaming laws. The State Gaming Control Board is located in Las Vegas.
