KVVU, branded as Fox 5 Las Vegas, is a Fox-affiliated television station that telecasts news, weather updates and sports programs. Its other shows are related to entertainment, contests and quiz competitions. The station offers internship programs that focus on hands-on work experience in a creative work environment for journalism students. It also telecasts sports, traffic and community-related news items. KVVU serves then informational and entertainment needs of individuals throughout Las Vegas and Henderson, Nev. The station is operated by Meredith Corporation, a Des Moines, Iowa-based media company that was founded in 1902, as well as offers various newspapers, magazines, Web sites, books, and television and educational programs.
