Founded in 1943, United Blood Services is one of the largest blood bank organizations in the United States that inspires individuals to donate blood. It serves nonprofit community blood centers and supplies blood components and special services for patients in more than 400 hospitals in over 15 U.S. states. The organization also provides a special program for blood drive coordinators. United Blood Services operates Blood Systems, which also offers blood donating services. Headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz., it also maintains a location in Las Vegas.
