Located in Reno, Nev., Bernice Mathews Elementary is a part of the Washoe County School District. The school offers a wide range of subjects, such as mathematics, science, social studies, life science and English. Additionally, the school provides special educations to students with special needs. It uses the Harcourt Reading Series and its science and social studies curricula are designed to address specific state standard skills sets and units. In addition, Bernice Mathews Elementary conducts the classes in art, music, and physical education. The school s students in grades four and five also participate in its instrumental music programs.
