History
Current programs and accomplishments * ASC provides our community with a solution to a growing industry. We offer prevention and awareness to sexually transmitted diseases, HIV testing, condoms, group support, case management, life skills. * 2010 ASC opened up our first in-service office for the needs of our clients. * ASC collaborated with Reno Municipal court and created an alternative sentencing court for women that are arrested or cited for prostitution. Clients are then court ordered to ASC for six months to a year. * ASC collaborated with Reno Police Department doing undercover operations for street/hotel prostitution. During operations, we offer free HIV testing and prevention. * Outreach: 3 strip clubs, 6 brothels, 12 undercover operations * Created the first of its kind sex industry support group in Northern Nevada for current and former workers of the sex industry.

A Scarlet Covering is for women, and children who are involved in or have been affected by the sex industry, (prostitution, stripping, sex trafficking, pornography etc.) As a result of the sex industry life issues of HIV, abuse, addiction and feelings of loneliness, guilt and shame.
