Irving Middle School
Established in 1927, the Irving Middle School offers classes from grades six through eight and has an enrollment of more than 700 students. It consist of various departments, such as English, computer education, mathematics, music, social studies, technology, arts, health and science. The school s facility consists of computer labs and a teen center with pool tables, ping pong, foosball and video game systems. It also consists of a homework room, lobby, cafeteria and a gym. Additionally, the school has a student advisory board that arranges activities, including crafts, baking, ice-cream socials, tournaments, music, pool league, holiday parties, dances, art, poetry and photography activities. Located in Lincoln, Neb., the school operates a community intervention program that provides support system for students with high-risk behaviors. The school is a part of the Lincoln Public Schools that operates more than 50 schools and serves over 32,000 students.
