Papillion-La Vista South High School, referred to as Papio, is a public school offering educational instruction to students in grades nine through 12. Established in 2003, the school has an enrollment of more than 1,000 students and is a part of the Papillion-La Vista Public Schools District. It offers classes in various subjects, including business, English, science, fine arts, foreign language, industrial technology, math, physical education, science and social studies. It also provides special education to students with special needs. The high school has athletic teams in several sports, including baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, track, tennis, volleyball and wrestling. It also provides various extracurricular activities, such as band, theater, vocal music, journalism, National Honor Society, student council and key club. Papillion-La Vista South High School is located in Papillion, Neb.
