Mid Plains Community College
Located in North Platte, Neb., North Platte Community College is a division of Mid-Plains Community College, and provides associate degrees, diplomas and certificates. The college offers courses in subjects, including health science, business, applied technology, humanities, math and social science. It also offers financial aid, and online and distance learning programs. The college has athletics and career services centers. It has two campuses providing academic transfer and vocational programs. Its north campus provides health occupation, construction, design, transportation and community support programs. The programs offered at the south campus include drama, music, and associate degrees in art, science and general studies, and medical lab technician and law enforcement programs. It has residential facilities with living and recreation rooms, kitchens and bathrooms, phones, Internet acess, cable TV, laundry services and exercise equipment. The programs offered by the college are approved by the Nebraska State Department of Education, American Dental Association, American Dietetic Association, National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences and National League of Nursing.
