The League of Human Dignity is a nonprofit, consumer-controlled, nonresidential, community-based organization, working for promoting the rights and quality of life for people with disabilities. The league offers various programs and services to provide social, economic as well as political equality for disabled people. Its services include systems advocacy, individual advocacy, peer support, independent living skills training, financial benefits counseling and equipment sales, repair, loan, and rental among others. Located in Lincoln, Neb., The League of Human Dignity serves all 93 counties in Nebraska and eight counties in southwest Iowa. Additionally, it operates independent living centers in Lincoln, Norfolk, Omaha, Council Bluffs, and Medicaid Waiver Offices in Kearney, North Platte and Scottsbluff.
