Lincoln Northeast High School is a public secondary school located in Lincoln, Neb. The school offers educational instruction to students from grades nine through 12. It enrolls more than 1,500 students and is a part of the Lincoln Public Schools School District. The school colors are black and white and their mascot is the Rocket. The school offers classes in English, business studies, biology, chemistry, computer application, social studies, math, science and technology, music, fine arts and physical education. It has athletic teams for various sports, including basketball, volleyball, football, track and field, baseball and tennis. Founded in 1941, Lincoln Northeast High School is approved by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and has been rated AA by the Nebraska State Department of Education since 1943.
