Creighton Athletics, operated by Creighton University, is a department that serves the youths of Omaha through the Operation Bluejay program. Its program offers student athletes the opportunities to serve through community services. Creighton Athletics Future Bluejay program creates opportunities for youths to become part of the university s athletic tradition through complimentary admissions into various sports events. It provides more than 400,000 free admissions annually. Creighton Athletics operates the Hanscom Indoor Tennis Center that includes facilities for men s and women s tennis. It also maintains basketball courts and baseball and soccer stadiums. The department coordinates a variety of sports activities, including softball, golf, volleyball and cross-country.
