Lyon is a town in Coahoma County, Mississippi, United States. The population was 418 at the 2000 census.
The village is named after the French city of Lyon, Rhône-Alpes. Lyon's biggest claim to fame is it is the site of Robert Johnson's murder. Robert Johnson was playing at a nightclub in Lyon when a jealous husband poisoned his whisky with lye. Johnson died three days later in Greenwood, MS.
