The library offers information about the state s natural resources and heritage. It focuses on improving public library services and preserving state publications. In addition, Montana State Library promotes cooperation among all the libraries in Montana. It has a digital library division that maintains a catalogued and supported collection that is brokered by information science and content specialists. The library provides a range of materials for those individuals who are not able to read traditional print ed books. Montana State Library also houses its own recording studio.
