Home Page The Montana Association of Chiefs of Police is a professional and philanthropic group of police administrators from across the state. We exist to provide professional training and peer support to police administrators across the state in an effort to maintain high professional standards in Montana. MACOP also provides significant support to worthy causes like the Montana Law Enforcement Museum, Special Olympics of Montana, Camp Mak-a-Dream, Court Appointed Special Advocates/Guardians ad Litem ( CASA/GAL ), Montana Law Enforcement Foundation and the Junior Police Leadership Academy ( JPLA ). MACOP is proud to sponsor JPLA and to make it available at no cost to the youth of Montana. During the one-week program students are introduced to law enforcement agencies from local, state and federal levels. There is a strong emphasis on developing leadership skills while giving students a glimpse of the criminal justice profession. Our group also supports legislation intended to improve the health, safety and welfare of our communities. It is our hope that through our professional collaboration we can attain higher standards of excellence in our profession. Thank you for your interest and support of the Montana Association of Chiefs of Police and we encourage you to contact us with your thoughts.
