The Missoula Housing Authority, founded in 1978, is a public, nonprofit organization that provides affordable housing options to low-income individuals and families. It owns and manages more than 270 housing units and administers rental subsidies for over 850 units throughout Missoula, Mont. The authority offers public housing and tenant- and project-based rental assistance programs. Its Shelter Plus Care program offers housing options to people with disabilities and includes health care, case management, educational, training and rehabilitation services. In addition, the authority administers Family Self-Sufficiency, homeless and low-income tax credit programs. The Missoula Housing Authority is located in Missoula, Mont.
