History
The Clark Chateau was built as a private home in 1898 for Copper King William A. Clark's oldest son, Charles. Since 2013 it has been managed as an arts center and history museum by the Butte-Silver Bow Archives and The Root & The Bloom Collective, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit humanities organization.
Specialties
The Clark Chateau is a community center, history and art museum, and events space. Our programming focuses on bringing the humanities to the local community and emphasizing intergenerational mentorship and participation.
