Canby Map
Canby is a city in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,795 at the 2010 census. The town is named after Edward Canby, a General in the United States Army. Canby is also well-known for high school wrestling. Canby High School won the Minnesota State Team Championship in 1976, 1977, 1979, 1986, 1988, 1994, 1995, 2006.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.2 square miles (5.6 km²), of which 2.2 square miles (5.6 km²) is land and 0.46% is water.
Canby Creek, a tributary of the Lac Qui Parle River, flows through the city.
