Youth Emergency Service is a program that offers crisis care and emergency shelter solutions. The program provides short-term housing and therapeutic support services for young people facing abuse, neglect, homelessness and family conflict problems. It offers individual, group and family counseling services. Youth Emergency Service also provides therapy and advisory solutions to children and families. The program serves more than 150 children annually. It accommodates girls and boys between the ages of 11 and 18. The program conducts educational and recreational groups that address self-esteem, anger management, and social and life skill issues weekly. In addition, it operates a help line that provides crisis intervention and referral information options. Youth Emergency Service is a part of Epworth Children & Family Services.
