Wild Animal Safari - Springfield/Strafford, Missouri opened in 1951 and was built by Pat Jones, father of Jerry Jones. The park consists of over 250 acres, including a five-mile Drive-Thru Safari and over twenty exhibits in the Walkabout Adventure Zoo. Guests can drive their own vehicle, rent a Safari SUV, or ride in the complimentary safari bus with a tour guide. The Walkabout Adventure Zoo area includes a reptile house, a new giraffe exhibit where the giraffes can be fed inside a warm barn during the colder winter months! Wild Animal Safari Springfield/Strafford has a full restaurant, free parking, large gift shop and over 250 acres where guests can get up front, close to, and feed many exotic wild animals.
