The University of Central Missouri, also known as UCM, offers a range of professional degree programs for more than 11,000 graduate and undergraduate students. Founded in 1871, its academic curriculum includes classes in a variety of subjects, such as accounting, actuarial science, agriculture, arts, communication, computers, business management, criminal justice, economics, finance and mathematics. The university also administers music, nursing, aviation, political science and psychology programs. The University of Central Missouri conducts foreign language classes in French, Spanish and Chinese. It operates a store that sells textbooks, school supplies, stationary and gifts. Additionally, the university participates in various sporting activities, such as baseball, basketball, bowling, football, golf, soccer, softball, volleyball, wrestling, cross country, and track and field. It is certified by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The University of Central Missouri maintains a location in Warrensburg, Mo.
