Independent Schools of St. Louis is a non-profit association that promotes the awareness and excellence of independent schools in the St Louis area. ISSL includes 42 accredited independently operated elementary and secondary schools for students in pre-kindergarten thru 12th grade. These schools focus on traditional educations with cirriculums also geared for students with special needs, emotional issues, behavioral problems or learning differences. ISSL is a non-religious association but some of the schools do have religious affiliations.
