HistoryIn 2015, several congregations in the Springfield area severed ties with the Presbyterian Church (USA) in protest over the national church's support for marriage and gender equality. Trinity was formed as a faith community by members from those congregations who felt there was a place in Springfield for faithful Christians who felt led by God to love and welcome all people, including those in the LGBTQ+ community, in every part of church life. This core value of inclusion and diversity, paired with a strong belief in the importance of mission and service, has led Trinity to become a vibrant community of faith where all are wanted, welcomed, and loved.SpecialtiesTrinity Presbyterian Church is a community of people seeking to live life in the rhythm of God's Kingdom.
