SLUCare is the physician practice branch of Saint Louis University's School of Medicine. Its doctors see patients and teach medical school students, among other responsibilities. The practice began in 1999, though the School of Medicine dates back to 1836.
The group includes 14 clinical departments. Among SLUCare's specialties are the treatment of liver diseases such as hepatitis, cancer treatment, geriatric medicine and internal medicine services.
SLUCare has a partnership with SSM Health Care. SLUCare obstetricians and gynecologists see patients at SSM St. Mary's Health Center (6420 Clayton Road in Richmond Heights) and operate an outpatient office at the nearby Bellevue Medical Complex (1031 Bellevue Ave.) The Bellevue site offers valet parking, and garage parking is available for free with validation from a staff member.
SLUCare surgeons also see patients at the Bellevue site. Also in Richmond Heights is SLUCare property University Club Tower (1034 S. Brentwood Blvd.), across from the St. Louis Galleria. This site hosts numerous doctors in areas such as cardiology, general internal medicine and family medicine.
