HistoryRhodes started in 1963 when a young, hardworking oil jobber capitalized on a highway expansion project and later discovered an emerging retail gasoline market. A second generation of management then joined the company and established internal corporate functions and energized marketing efforts. Both initiatives created clear distinctions between Rhodes and other local convenience stores. Today, a third generation of management operates 29 retail stores throughout Southeast Missouri and Southern Illinois. This generation of leaders and team members has recognized its customers' growing demand for fresh, quality fast foods.
