Webster Groves City Government serves the city through its various departments and services. The departments, based in Webster Groves, Mo., include administration, customer service, planning and development, finance, public works, police, fire, parks and recreation and human resources. The department of public works is made up of two divisions. The engineering and administration division handles inquiries, requests and concerns related to trash, recycling and yard waste collections; sanitary sewer lateral repair program; storm water improvement program; and excavation permits. It is also responsible for the planting of trees in the city; current and future street improvements; and traffic signal maintenance. The street division is responsible for pothole and crack repairs; street and parking lot sweeping; trimming and removal of trees in the city; snow removal; installing and maintain street regulatory signs; and furnishing barricades for block parties and community events.
