The Mabee Center in Liberty, MO is a versatile sports facility that serves as the home for William Jewell College's basketball, volleyball, and wrestling teams, as well as the Jewell swimming team. With a seating capacity of approximately 2,400, the center also features recreational basketball courts, squash and racquetball courts, an indoor track, an athletic performance center, and multipurpose classrooms. It is not only a hub for student-athletes but also provides fitness and recreational programs for faculty, staff, and students.
Opened in 1980, the Mabee Center was made possible through the collaborative efforts of various individuals, including former President Dr. Thomas Field and generous contributions from the Mabee Foundation of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The competition area within the center, known as Larry Holley Court, is named in honor of the legendary men's basketball coach who led the College for 40 years, achieving remarkable success with numerous conference championships and national tournament appearances.
