Lisa Burnitt, ANP, is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in rheumatology. She completed her medical training at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. Lisa treats patients ages 16 and up for rheumatology-related care, treating autoimmune and connective tissue disorders, including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, psoriatic arthritis, Sjogren’s syndrome, degenerative joint disease and fibromyalgia. She also treats joint pain and swelling and offers joint injections and other treatments. Lisa is committed to providing excellent, patient-centered, evidence-based care. She enjoys working closely with rheumatologists and developing long-term relationships with patients. She is an active listener, promoting shared decision-making, health education, and care planning, helping her patients become the best version of themselves physically and mentally. Lisa has over twenty-five years of experience as a healthcare provider. She is a former professor and director of the nurse practitioner program at Barnes-Jewish College, Goldfarb School of Nursing. Lisa has lived in St. Charles her entire life. She is married to her high school sweetheart, and together they have raised three amazing children. She enjoys hiking, beekeeping, gardening, and keeping up with her dog and active granddaughters on their small farm in central Missouri.
