Java Plus started in 2004 as an alternative to the typical "coffee shop" of St. Louis. We found that people working in office buildings didn't want to leave during the day, and were looking for an alternative spot to pick up breakfast, lunch, and catering without the hassle of getting in a car. Java Plus opened its doors on March 15, 2004 at the Interco Towers in Clayton in a small corner shop on the first floor. By giving outstanding service, serving great products, and listening to our customers, we were able to grow our business substantially, and became an immediate hit. We opened our second location at Clayton on the Park in July of 2005. This was a different location as it is a hotel and residence. However, the needs of the customer were the same. On January 30, 2006, we opened our most aggressive Java Plus at Metropolitan Square in downtown St. Louis. It is over 4, 000 square feet of space. We offer free wifi, grab and go breakfast and lunch as well as catering opportunities. We continue to serve the highest quality food products, which has separated us from the pack. Java Plus was the brainchild of two St. Louis Entrepreneurs -- Ken Grober, and Gordon Manus. Between them they have over 60 years of restaurant development experience.
