Fred Weber, Inc. is a general contractor of heavy and highway construction and materials suppliers of the St Louis industrial areas. Its specialties are full-service concrete and asphalt-paving projects. The 75 year old business is employee owned and has trades and craftsmanship in the following areas: carpenters, cement masons, ironworkers, laborers, operating engineers and teamsters. It has 11 locations and 10 subsidiary companies. Its construction services covers all aspects of roadwork from highways to bridge building. Materials Services supplies materials for builders and contractors in the St. Louis metropolitan area. It operates: nine quarries; four sand plants plus quality sand; one sanitary landfill; nine conventional asphalt plants; one portable drum mix plant and one transfer station. The company has more than 20 years in running a landfill, which is approved by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR), at the North Quarry in Maryland Heights, Mo. The North Quarry accepts more than 2,000 tons of trash per day.
