The Don Bosco Community Center is a social service agency that works to address the daily issues and needs of the residents of northeast Kansas City. It comprises six interrelated centers that include Charter High School, Counseling Center, English as a Second Language School, Family Support Center, Senior Center and Youth Development Center. It offers various services, such as emergency assistance, food, clothing, rent and utility assistance, job referrals, educational programs, recreational activities and supportive case management. The center is affiliated with the Centers for the Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Housing Authority of Kansas City, the Missouri Department of Social Services, the Social Security Administration and the Office of Minority Health. The Don Bosco Community Center was established in 1940, and is located in Kansas City, Mo.
