In 1992, CMPI was formed by a group of investors when they purchased a 48 Hill Acme sheet polisher to provide high-grade surface finishes to stainless steel for area fabricators. These fabricators required perfection for their own demanding clients in the pharmaceutical, biotech, food, and beverage industries. As CMPI's excellent craftsmanship was recognized, the company grew. Over the years, CMPI added other polishing services including pipe, tube, flat bar, grinding, spin polishing, architectural finishes and component, fitting, valve and shape polishing As polishing services grew, CMPI recognized that many of their polishing customers also had a demand for other related services. By identifying similar requirements among their existing customers, CMPI's focus then became "what can we do to make our customer's job easier?" Our response to that challenge has been to develop the CMPI Standard "Give The Customer What The Customer Needs". Our customized services include the flexibility for our customer to either supply their own material or have CMPI provide material at competitive prices. CMPI then processes material per their customer's unique specifications without having to go to any other job shop prior to delivery of that material back to their facility ready for processing. Today, CMPI has expanded their polishing capabilities to include up to 72 wide, x 16' material. Our capabilities now not only include outstanding polishing services, but also waterjet cutting, heat transfer surfaces, shearing, hardware installation, powder coating, sawing, welding, forming, notching, punching, rolling, milling, and turning.
