Started in 1938, Consolidated Electric Cooperative is a not-for-profit electric utility owned by the consumer members who use the electricity and other allied services it provides. The group is based in Mexico, Mo. and serves parts of Audrain, Callaway, Monroe, Montgomery, Pike and Ralls Counties. The customers of Consolidated Electric Cooperative include homes, farms, businesses and industry members. The group's service territory consists of approximately 2,240 miles of energized line servicing more than 7,800 connected meters in the aforementioned regions. In addition to electricity distribution and maintenance of electric lines, Consolidated Electric Cooperative also offers its members products like security lights, Marathon Water Heaters, SyCom Surge Arrestors and Weather Radios for home and business protection purposes.
