Founded in 1946, Camp Taum Sauk occupies approximately 145 acres of land along the Black River in Missouri Ozarks. The camp has capabilities to accommodate over 60 boys and 60 girls, with cabins for girls with attached bathrooms. Its facilities include an administration building, infirmary, dining hall, recreation house, pavilion, arts and crafts building, riding stable and ring, nature lodge, campers' cabins, modern baths, tennis courts, swimming pool, and a full range of sports facilities. Camp Taum Sauk offers a wide variety of educational, physical as well as creative activities for children, including high ropes, arts and crafts, theatrical arts, camp crafts, backpacking, rock climbing and repelling, archery and riflery, trail rides, pack trips, horseback cookouts, horse shows, snorkeling and scuba diving, swimming, boat regattas, canoe float trips, rafting, pontoon floats, sailing and kayaks, etc. It is a member of the American Camping Association.
